I always wanted to have a big happy family. From my childhood, I dreamt about my future husband, children, our life together. “There is nothing ideal” – many people told me, but I did not believe them. And I was right. I married the kindest, cleverest man whom I love very much and who makes every minute of my life happy. When I learnt that I was pregnant – I was the happiest woman in the world!

Tymur, our dear lovely boy, was born on June 6, 2009. I was never happier in my life when we were together – my husband, our first-born and me. When Tymur was 6 months old, I learnt that I was pregnant the second time around. It was great news for Tymur and us! We chose a name for our daughter; we planed our future and were an ideal family – the family which I dreamt in the childhood about!

However, the life is not so simple…On the May 21, 2010 the doctors of the Okhmatdyt hospital revealed that Tymur has a very serious dreadful disease - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This was the most horrible day in my family’s life. Why is the life so unjust to us? I was hoping that this would be just a dream…But on the next day when I waked from the pain, I understood that my lovely son has leukemia!

Unfortunately we wasted a lot of time due to incorrectly set diagnosis. Two months ago we noticed a strange spot on Tymur`s cheek. We consulted the best doctors in Kyiv, handed over analyses, but no correct diagnosis was established. Dermatologists said that we should not worry about it and that it would disappear before Tymur will turn six and recommended not to sunbathe. Other doctors said to cut the spot off. Two months later Tymur had digestive problems and we visited our doctor. And two more spots appeared. We didn’t know where to go, what to do? The doctor noticed that the liver was pink and sent us to make a blood test. I will never forget that day! The most terrible day in my life! The blood analysis revealed: leukocytes – 55.000/ml3, blasts in peripheral blood – 79%, the level of hemoglobin 36 g/l. We started infusion therapy. On the 20th of May we made the puncture of the marrow, the acute lymphoblast leucosis diagnosis was confirmed. The blood analysis at that day showed that the state of Tymur was becoming worse and worse.

I beg you to help us, please! Who is not indifferent to our distress, who has an opportunity, please, help our baby! He is so small! He wants to live!

Tymur urgently needs chemotherapy, which costs a lot of money, after that, most likely, the marrow transplantation. We are expecting a baby girl in October and if all goes well she will be a bone marrow donor for him. Usually brothers and sisters are the best donors to each other. Otherwise, there is a long and expensive way to look for one.

We gathered all the money we could, but every day we have to pay for treatment, and not much time for Tymur’s recovery.

My family and I hope for your help! I believe that there are a lot of good people with kind heart! Even small amount can be decisive!

Thank you very much for all your help! We don’t know each other but your support is very important for us, for our baby Tymur! Your help gives hope that our family will have a happy future!

Thank you for all your help
Olya, Tymur’s Mom

We thank you very much for your help, which gives us hope to recover from decease. On May 25, 2010 at 10 p.m., Tymur and I flew to the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, Israel. With help from our family and friends, we were able to gather money to start the treatment. This is the first step but everything is in God’s and our hands. We are the great force; we can help Tymur to live. He will obtain diagnostics and then inform you about the future treatment. Thanks to all of you! Each of you is giving hope to our boy to see many interesting things in life!
