On May 18, 2010 Tymur undergone planned ultrasonic scanning of internal organs that showed that the liver was “slightly lighter” than usual. The next morning he passed a blood test and in a few hours, our doctor calls and told us to go to the hospital immediately. The hemoglobin level was only 36! Starting from this moment our life turned upside down...

On May 21, doctors made a scary diagnosis - acute lymphoblastic leukemia, pro-B, the first acute phase (code according to ICD X-P 91.0). The proper therapy was held according to Interfant-2006 program.

Tymur still has chances to overcome the disease. Unfortunately, in case of such disease the level of surviving in our hospitals is very low. In Ukraine often we lose our kids not because of the disease itself, but mostly due to infections and complications. We have sent requests to several clinics in Europe and USA, but only one hospital in Israel responded immediately and agreed to take Tymur on treatment. In Israel, the hospital has very good experience on such therapy. With help of our relatives and friends, we managed to collect some amount. Even though it was not enough the hospital agreed to accept us immediately without wasting time and start Tymur’s treatment.

We hope very much that the treatment will be limited to chemotherapy and the bone marrow transplantation will not be necessary, but even the cost of chemotherapy itself is very expensive for our family. Unfortunately, we are not able to collect such amount by our effort only!

We do believe that there are people that can help us to save our son! That is why we ask everybody for help! Thanks to all who will respond!
